Eight of us knocked on doors with Blue Wave VA10 on March 17. While most of our knocks were unanswered, it was still a great experience.
We met other volunteers from the 8th (from the Alexandria area of Fairfax) who were also looking for ways to make a difference. Mary and I met a young woman canvassing for a VA10 Dem candidate who was so excited to hear about the voter ID project because she felt all the other organizations were just asking her for money and she wanted to do more.
Last year, this group identified 900 Democrats who will now be reminded of and targeted for upcoming elections. Many of those newly identified people are now knocking on doors.
