We will also have events in the final weekend of the election cycle, too — stay tuned!

What follows is a list of canvasses for Vangie Williams, Elaine Luria, Leslie Cockburn, Abigail Spanberger and Jennifer Wexton that other groups have planned. If you can’t make a Democrats To Go canvass, or you simply need to knock on MORE doors, we encourage you to attend one or more of these events.

We’ll update this post as we hear about more canvasses. And if you’d like to include your event on this list, please contact us.

Please join Tim Kaine in Virginia Beach at 11:30 am as he fires up volunteers for Elaine Luria. CD02 has the lowest turnout of any flippable district. Join VADF, WofA and others to Get Out the Vote. Day trips are feasible to either location. Multiple shifts to choose from. Carpooling and free housing available.

  • Carpools will depart from McLean, Arlington or DC at 8:15 am.  Let us know in advance if you want to carpool and/or need a ride.
  • Meet at Leslie Cockburn Campaign office in Warrenton at 9:15 am.  Easy drive from McLean or DC – 50-55 min.
  • Meet for Lunch in downtown Warrenton close to campaign office at 1 pm.
  • Sign up for one morning shift and head back – or sign up for morning & afternoon shifts for maximum action!
  • We can pair up people with experienced canvassers – great way to learn and make it a more interactive day.  Let us know in advance if you’d like to go in a pair.
  • We will provide candidate stand on issues, script and information about the district ahead of the event – so that everyone is prepared.

Blue Families is doing a special kid-friendly trip out to Warrenton for Leslie Cockburn.  We’ll be meeting at Virginia Square Metro at 11 AM and caravanning out to the Cockburn field office at 35 Horner Street, Warrenton, VA 20186 (or you can meet us there).  After we do a canvassing packet, we’ll stop for soft serve ice cream on the way home.

Blue Families: Richmond GOTV Road Trip for Abigail Spanberger
It’s time for one final road trip to flip the Virginia 7th District as we help Abigail Spanberger get out the vote and send her to Congress. We’re making this trip extra kid-friendly by encouraging folks to see some sights and sample from a burgeoning food scene. Best of all, gracious volunteers will provide us with free overnight housing.

Caravan from Arlington to Canvass for Abigail Spanberger

Caravan out to either Culpepper or Spotsylvania as a group.  If you are willing to help drive, please drive your car to my home that morning.  (There is plenty of street parking if we don’t use all the vehicles).  We will caravan to the staging location and canvass out from there.  We should be back in Arlington  around 3:00PM.
